Previously club collected paperwork and fees and mailed into SCVA offices to be processed. The SCVA then sent USAV their portion of the membership fee along with files documenting memberships. The paper trail was kept track of manually with the date of signatures on forms coming in to play for the time of purchase of membership. There is now an electronic footprint at the time of purchase of membership with these fees immediately being divided into the USAV and SCVA portions of this membership.     

The Tryout Membership is not an additional fee. It is $20 that is part of the $65 of the player fee that has always existed. It is created to get all players covered with USAV/SCVA membership under the USAV policy prior to being at any tryout.

Please note—it is understood that many facilities hold their own insurance. The USAV policy protects the player with its medical portion and not just the club and the facility. The membership is for the safety of the players.
